![]() This might just be the soul of getting good. The feeling of exhilaration that you get when you finally kill the thing that’s been murdering you and progress is almost euphoric. Interestingly, and very much to this game’s credit that feeling only lasted for a short period of time. This is where the fun ended and all the memories of not being good and having no wish to get my head kicked in until I gave up rushed back. This big ugly bane of my life nearly put me off playing. Then I walked into battle with the first creature that was bigger than everything else and got my teeth knocked out. I actually thought this was going to be the first game of this type that changed my mind on the genre. I died a couple of times but I was expecting a hard-as-nails souls-like and because I didn’t get absolutely snotted by everything with a sword I thought I was doing rather well. I managed to play through the first lump of Watcher Chronicles without too much of a painful experience. Is this a parody? Is it a play on a theme? No, it’s fucking not and I hate it all the more for tricking me. The first boss can and absolutely will smash you but you get the feeling you’re being punked when it gets swapped out for something more manageable after your first death. You don’t get the feeling everything is trying to eat you from the off. The graphics are cartoony and inviting, the control system is simple and easy to pick up and it all feels like a really fun action-platformer. What makes this one really bad is that it’s sneaky about it. Watcher Chronicles is, as I’ve just mentioned, a souls-like, and in true souls-like fashion, it’s hard as hell. So with this being said, why the crap did I agree to sit down and endure the torture that is Watcher Chronicles? We shall find out very shortly. As a rule of thumb, I have no intention of getting good, just as I have no intention of slamming my head on a wall until it stops hurting. No, I know they aren’t scary but they are very very hard and I’m very impatient and get annoyed with myself quite easily when I suck. Taking this mentality to the game we’re looking at today the same theory applies to souls-likes. I don’t have an issue with their existence and there are some very good ones out there but I’m a gigantic coward and will turn it off after the first jump scare. This is the reason why you won’t find me reviewing horror titles for you. If I’m sitting here preparing to tell you lot all about a title common sense dictates that I need to have played the game to a point where I actually know what I’m talking about. ![]() It’s not personal bias, in fact, I don’t hate anything, it’s more a case of knowing what I’m like. ![]() There are a few genres I avoid like the plague. ![]() Even with those caveats, The Last of Us is an engrossing and moving game, with survival horror gameplay backing up the story. Compared to the remastered version, the textures are a bit muddy, and you’ll have to download the Left Behind DLC manually. Like Uncharted 2, only the PS3 version of The Last of Us is available on PS Now. The Last of Us Sony Interactive Entertainment It’s another globe-trotting, treasure-filled adventure, with your goal being to find the Chintamani Stone, a hidden artifact from Marco Polo’s 1292 voyage to China. It takes place two years after the events of the original when Drake’s former flame Chrole Frazer bursts unto the scene. Regardless, Among Thieves is a great game. The Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection is the best way to play the game on PS4, but Sony, annoyingly, only has the PS3 versions of each game available on PS Now. It’s tough choosing the best Uncharted game, but for us, it has to be Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Unfortunately, only the PS3 version is on PlayStation Now, meaning the only way to play it is streaming. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Sony Interactive Entertainment The Phantom Pain takes place 11 years before the original Metal Gear. You play as Big Boss, who, after a nine-year coma, adopts the alias “Venom Snake.” After escaping the Cyrpus-based hospital, it’s your job to find those responsible for the destruction of the Militaires Sans Frontières, the military base feature in the prequel game Ground Zeroes. Even more impressive, both are viable options. Maybe you attack an inspection point with guns blazing, or sneak in silently and take out enemies one by one. You’re free to approach every mission in any way you see fit. Despite the mess that resulted, The Phantom Pain is among Kojima’s best work. Metal Gear Solid 5 was Hideo Kojima’s swan song for his time with Konami. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain Konami Spider-Man is the Spider-Man game players have been asking for. All of these elements blend beautifully together, though. The combat is fairly stock, too, adopting an Arkham City-esque system. It features New York City as your playground, with a handful of collectibles and side missions dotted across the map. No movie required, Marvel’s Spider-Man forges its own path, with a beautifully detailed open world, refined combat, and, of course, excellent web-slinging mechanics. Marvel’s Spider-Man is the result, and it’s a treat for longtime fans. Spider-Man has always been caught in the mediocrity of movie tie-in games, outside of the standout Spider-Man 2. Nabbing the rights from Activision, Sony put Insomniac Games in charge of creating a new generation of Spider-Man games. ![]() Is the Montana WHITEOUT color in the RAL system?Īll though many colors from other color systems may appear similar, the Montana WHITEOUT color is a unique color created by us for maximum vibrance, coverage and performance that was developed by some of the worlds best graffiti artists for graffiti artists.
